DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (July 5, 2017) – For the third year in a row, Mercy College Athletics will recap the year by counting down the Top-10 most memorable moments of the 2016-17 season, with all 10 sports represented.
Mercy College Athletics will release a Top-10 moment, as chosen by the athletics staff, with a weekly recap every Wednesday throughout the summer, culminating with the top moment from the 2016-17 athletic year being unveiled on August 23rd.
Robinson joined the Mavericks ahead of the 2015-16 season after playing parts of three seasons with Nyack College. The senior played a pivotal role in Mercy making the ECC Tournament for the first time in program history in 2015-16 and securing the program's most wins since the 1992-93 season.
After scoring 554 points at Nyack, Robinson produced 311 points as a junior for the Mavericks averaging 12.0 points per game in 26 games. The senior began the 2016-17 season with 865 career points and would pick up his 1,000th career point on a jumper at the 14:54 mark of the first half at Daemen College on January 2nd.
Robinson went on to finish the season averaging 12.5 points per game and secured 324 points to end his career with 1,189 career points and an 11.8 points per game scoring average.
Hickey became a member of the Mercy College men's basketball team after three seasons with Dowling College. The graduate student accumulated 787 points at Dowling and entered the 2016-17 season needing just 213 points to surpass the 1,000 point plateau.
The guard entered the Mavericks contest against UDC on January 14th needing 18 points to reach 1,000 points. However, Hickey recorded 16 points and entered Mercy's game at NYIT on January 18th needing two points to reach the mark.
The graduate student wasted little time in accomplishing the feat as he reached the mark at the 18:49 mark of the first half. Hickey went on to score 12 points in the contest and ended the season with 343 points. The guard ended his career with 1,130 career points in 111 career games.

Every Wednesday for the next 10 weeks, the Mercy College Athletics Department will release the Top-10 moments one at a time beginning with the No. 10 moment on Wednesday, June 21. The No. 1 moment will be unveiled on Wednesday, August 23.
