Mercy Hoops Squads Gear Up for First ECC Action of Season vs. Molloy Tonight; LiveStats and Video Webcast Available
DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Dec. 7, 2011) - Both the Mercy College women's and men's basketball teams will ignite East Coast Conference play tonight when they travel to Rockville Centre, Long Island to battle Molloy College. The women tip off at 6:00 p.m., while the men spar at 8:00 p.m. LiveStats and a live video webcast of all the action will be available on the team's schedule pages, as well as below.

Head Coach Kelli Dunlay and her women's squad enter tonight's contest searching for their first win of the season. Looking to lead her team to that first "W" will be senior forward Jasmine Williams (Stratford, Conn.), who is pacing the Mavericks in points per game (16.2), rebounds per game (9.0), and steals (17). Senior point guard Simone Williams (Waldorf, Md.) is second on the club with 9.0 points per contest and is tops in the assists department with 31. Look for fellow Waldorf, Md. product senior forward Talia Beaulieu to crash the boards as she is averaging 6.5 per game.
After picking up their first victory of the season in commanding fashion against Nyack College on Saturday night (84-67), Head Coach Adam Parmenter and the men's team looks to make it two in a row against the Lions tonight. Junior guard Colin Senior (Hackensack, N.J.) leads the squad with 13.2 points per game, while fellow junior Joseph Pope (Akron, Ohio) is ranked second with 8.8 per contest. Sophomore forward Kirk Bailey (Freeport, N.Y.) is currently tops in the rebounds category (6.0 per game). Also, look to the backcourt for sophomore guard Romaine Wall (Hackensack, N.J.) to do some damage as he paces the club in assists (14) and steals (11).
