Mercy College head men’s basketball coach Adam Parmenter has announced that Orlando Daniel  and Ed Wilson have been named captains for the 2010-11 season.

Daniel (Bridgeport, Conn./Kolbe Cathedral) enters his fourth year on the team.  The 5-10 senior guard will be expected to step-up his game and provide leadership for the team, both on and off the court.

Wilson (Bronx, N.Y./Monsignor Scanlan) is coming off a strong 2009-10 campaign for the Mavericks in which he was a major contributor.  Last season, the 5-11 senior guard’s 111 assists led the team, and his 293 points and 83 rebounds were fourth.

The Mavericks (0-2) have dropped a pair of games to open the season, having lost to the University of New Haven 76-56 and Caldwell College 77-75. Mercy will host Southern New Hampshire on Saturday, November 20, 2010, at 3:00 p.m.
