Adam Parmenter Named Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Mercy College

Adam Parmenter

DOBBS FERRY, NY - Adam Parmenter (West New York, NJ) has been named assistant men's basketball coach at Mercy College, as announced on Wednesday.

"We are excited to have Adam on our staff this season. He will bring a fresh perspective of the game as well as a great understanding of how to communicate with our student-athletes," head coach Tony Staffiere said.

Parmenter will assist with the day-to-day operations of the program, scheduling, general instruction and strategic in-game situations. Staffiere believes that Parmenter's strong recruiting presence on the national level will allow the program to become involved with some of the top high school and junior college players.

He is currently the Director of Development at Five-Star Basketball, Inc. where he assists in camp recruiting, serves as administrative director, assists with marketing efforts, and coordinates special events. He also edits instructional material, such as the "Five-Star Coaches' Playbook: Vol. 2."

Parmenter coached most recently at Fordham Preparatory School as the Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach and Head Junior Varsity Basketball Coach. He managed the junior varsity team in all aspects, including selection of team roster, implementation of practice plans and in-game strategies.

He was also an assistant coach at the collegiate level with Daniel Webster College. He helped with all aspects of the NCAA Division III program and identified and recruited prospective student-athletes.

Parmenter graduated from the University of Miami (FL) with a Bachelor's degree of Business in Sports Administration.
