Mercy College Men's Basketball Signs Steve Siechen for 2007-08
DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. - Mercy College Head Men's Basketball Coach Tony Staffiere announced today that Steve Siechen (East Syracuse-Minoa, NY) from Onondaga Community College has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to attend Mercy and play men's basketball beginning in the fall of 2007.
"We're excited to have Steve join the program and he should add versatility with his size and ability to shoot the three-point shot," said Staffiere.
The 6-foot-4 forward, averaged 14.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assist per contest last season. As a co-captain, Siechen helped guide the team to a 23-8 record and a Mid-State Athletic Conference Championship. He netted 30 points twice last season and was the leading scorer in 10 games for the Lazers.
