DOBBS FERRY, NY - Mercy College Director of Athletics Dr. Kevin McGinniss announced that after a two-year hiatus the athletics department will revive its men's golf program. Recruiting for the 2006-07 academic year will begin immediately.
"We are exited at the prospect of resurrecting our men's golf program," said McGinniss. "Mercy College had been a force in intercollegiate men's golf and we look forward to competing in both regional and conference play beginning this fall."
The Mercy College men's golf program has a long and proud tradition of success. From the mid 1990s through the early 2000s, Mercy men's golf teams won six out of nine New York Collegiate Athletic Conference (NYCAC) championships. Mercy's home course is the scenic Ardsley Country Club. Located less than one mile from the Dobbs Ferry Campus it has been host to several NYCAC championship tournaments.
Mercy College is an NCAA Division II institution. Athletics scholarships and financial aid opportunities are available to qualified individuals. For more information, please contact Dr. McGinniss at 914-674-7220.
