Mercy Student-Athletes Partake in Dr. Seuss' Read Across America Day

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Mar. 2, 2012) - On Friday, Mercy College student-athletes from the Mavericks' field hockey and men's basketball teams helped give back to the Dobbs Ferry community as they headed over to the Greenburgh Eleven Elementary School a few miles from campus. These student-athletes read to Greenburgh's elementary school students on Dr. Seuss' birthday, which is Read Across America Day.

Helping to promote reading and what Dr. Seuss stood for, the student-athletes read 10 different books by the famous author to over 20 students from grades two to five at Greenburgh.
