Recalling days of yore, Mercy College celebrated our Basketball Alumni Day with the annual co-ed game and reception on Saturday afternoon, February 5. The events preceded the regularly scheduled women’s and men’s varsity games against C. W. Post.
Almost 20 alums, some from as far back as the ‘70’s, returned to Dobbs Ferry for the annual event.
“This is such a fun event,” said Pat Kennedy, Director of Athletics at Mercy College. “Our alumni are such a big piece of what we do. It’s great to reconnect with everyone.”
After a full routine of stretching, two fifteen minute halves were more than enough play. In the Battle of the Sexes, score was kept, but it really didn’t matter.
Among the attendees were Hall of Famers Carol Leib and Bob Crescenzo (’82). Standout play came from Dawn Ellison (’92), Jessikah McKenzie (’03), Sam Riti (’77), and Ralph Smith (’76).
