Basketball and softball alumna, Christina Cribbs named director of Budget, Facilities and events for San Francisco.
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – On Jan. 4, Mercy College alumna Christina Cribbs ’98, was named the Assistant Athletic Director of Budget, Facilities & Events at University of San Francisco. Cribbs was a two-sport student-athlete at Mercy College, playing both softball and women’s basketball from 1993-97.
USF’s Athletic Director Debra Gore-Mann announced Cribbs’ appointment on Monday. Cribbs’ duties will include a variety of internal functions including the supervision and management of the Athletic Department’s budget and finances, athletic events, external relations events and facilities for USF’s 14 NCAA Division I athletic teams. She will also represent the department at West Coast Confrence and NCAA meetings pertaining to budget, events and facilities.
Cribbs played for the Mavericks from 1993-1996 as a member of the women’s basketball team. Under head coaches Becky Miller (1992-93) and Michele Coyle (1993-1999), Cribbs tallied 577 points, 327 rebounds, 112 assists and 62 steals. She had a shooting percentage of .334. In 90 games played for Mercy College, Cribbs, a guard from St. Dominic’s in Palo Alto, Calif., is tied for 10th all-time in 3-point field goals made with 60. She is also 10th on the Mercy College leaderboard in 3-point field goals attempted with 199.
Cribbs also played four seasons as catcher for the Mercy College softball program (1994-1997). A four-year starter, Cribbs played in 113 games, posted 34 runs off 83 hits and 303 at bats. As a freshman she recorded a batting average of .338 (her career best) with also a career-best slugging percentage of .451. She totaled 42 RBI, 17 stolen bases in 20 attempts and 44 walks.
Cribbs received a bachelor’s degree from Mercy College in behavioral science in 1998. She added a MBA at Lynn University in 2004.
