Weather Forces Changes to Mavericks' Schedules

MERCY ATHLETIC CONTESTS CHANGED DUE TO WEATHER

Mother nature is wreaking havoc with the beginning of the spring sports seasons. Baseball and men's lacrosse have had to move games scheduled for this week.

Men’s lacrosse has had it’s inaugural home game moved to Thursday, March 4, 2010. The game will now be played at Pleasantville High School at 3:30 p.m. Mercy is 1-0 on the season, having beaten AIC on Sunday by a 6-5 score.

The Mercy College baseball team will be playing an abbreviated schedule in the upcoming future. The Dobbs Ferry nine will face Adelphi University on Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Baseball Heaven in Yaphank, Long Island. Baseball will then play at Southern Connecticut in a doubleheader on Saturday, March 6.

The regularly scheduled women’s lacrosse game for Wednesday, March 3, at Manhattanville, will go on as scheduled.
