Mercy students get a lesson from NFL powerbrokers

DOBBS FERRY - Kevin Abrams has grown accustomed to sitting among some of the most powerful people in the NFL. Talking to others about how he became a part of that group as the assistant general manager of the Giants, though, still has the ability to amaze him.

"The few opportunities I've had to do these sort of panel discussions, it's always kind of funny because I'm not too far removed from being in the audience," Abrams, 36, said.

Yesterday afternoon, Abrams was part of an impressive panel of speakers in Lecture Hall at Mercy College. Abrams was joined by Cleveland Browns' president Michael J. Keenan and two members of the NFL Management Council, Dennis Curran and William Briggs.
