Mercy adding men's, women's lacrosse

A Yorktown graduate went on to play girls lacrosse at Hofstra before deciding it was too far from home. Ellen Mager, the Yorktown coach, thinks her troubles could have been avoided had there been more local options.
Mercy College heard stories like that one. Yesterday it got proactive, announcing it will add men's and women's lacrosse programs for the 2009-10 academic year.
