Mercy College Places 30 Student-Athletes on 2007-08 ECC Commissioner's Honor Roll

DOBBS FERRY, NY - A total of 30 Mercy College student-athletes have been named to the East Coast Conference (ECC) Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2007-08 academic year.  Each of the Mavericks' 10 conference sponsored programs had at least two student-athletes honored.

"It is with great pride that I commend our student-athletes on the completion of another successful academic year," said East Coast Conference Commissioner Robert Dranoff.  "Illustrating the Division II ideals, our student-athletes continue to raise the bar as they reach for new heights in their academic endeavors while continuing to display leadership and dedication to the athletic forum."

The Commissioner's Honor Roll is awarded to student-athletes who receive a 3.25 GPA or better in a given academic year.  This annual recognition, in addition to Scholar-Athlete awards, helps to uphold the East Coast Conference's mission of promoting the total person and the ability to excel not only in the athletic arena but also in the classroom.
