Mercy College Student Athletes Graduate on
Wednesday, May 31, 2006 
DOBBS FERRY, NY - At the 71st Commencement Ceremony, 24 past and present Mercy College student-athletes received undergraduate degrees, and three received graduate degrees. The ceremonies were held at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY, on Wednesday, May 31.
Several of this year's class graduated with honors. Newton Carnegie of the men's soccer team graduated Summa Cum Laude, while Camele Clarke and Dionne Coley of the volleyball team graduated Magna Cum Laude, and Simone Forbes of the volleyball team, Elissa Krossber from women's basketball, baseball player Steve Parisi and men's soccer player Brian Walsh graduated Cum Laude.
Carnegie also received department honors in Computer Information Systems and Krossber received the same distinction from the Psychology department. Krossber is also a member of Pi Gamma Mu, the national honor society recognizing excellence in social sciences, and Psi Chi, the national honor society for psychology. Softball player Brigette Burke joins her as a member of Psi Chi. Walsh is a member of Delta Mu Delta, the international honor society for business administration, and also earned the Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award.
