Ryan Flynn joins the Mercy College men’s soccer coaching staff ahead of the Fall 2015 season.

Flynn will be in charge of day-to-day operations. In his current capacity, Flynn assists the program in all areas with an emphasis on recruiting, opponent scouting, video analysis and strength and conditioning. 

“Ryan has been a part of Mercy for several years now and understands what needs to be done here in order to be successful. I have no doubt he will continue to help improve our program," stated head coach Pedro Velazquez.

Flynn joins the Mavericks staff after playing four years for the Mavericks and graduating in 2015 from Mercy. The native of Valley Stream, New York ranks first all-time in games played in program history and was a steadying force for head coach Chris Smith as he served as team captain for multiple seasons.

The Valley Stream South product ended his career with seven goals and three assists for a total of 17 points and was named to the ECC Weekly Honor Roll in 2012. Flynn was a key member of back-to-back ECC Playoff teams in 2012 and 2013 as he combined for five goals and three assists over the course of the two seasons, finishing with two game-winners.
