Heather Procopio joins the Mercy College Athletic Training staff as an Assistant Atheltic Trainer. She will assist in the preventative and immediate care and rehabilitation for all of Mercy’s 14 sports.
Prior to Mercy, Procopio served as a student athletic trainer at Southern Connecticut State University, working with the football, soccer, basketball, and track and field teams. She also garnered experience as an athletic trainer for the Yale University crew team, and at Branford (Conn.) High School.
Procopio graduated from SCSU in 2010 with a degree in Athletic Training and is currently a graduate student in the Kinesiology program at William Patterson (N.J.) University, with an expected graduation date of 2012. Procopio is a graduate of Ramapo High School, and currently resides in her hometown, Pomona, NY.
