Lindsay Dring joins the Mercy College softball coaching staff ahead of the 2016-2017 season.
"Lindsay is a great addition to our staff. Her experience as a player at the Division II level, where she went from a role player in her first two seasons, to a starter and then becoming one of the top offensive producers on her team and in her conference, will provide inspiration to our younger athletes. She has enthusiasm and knowledge of the game that will make her an effect leader of our outfielders, which will be her primary responsibility," stated Head Coach Mike Fazio.
Dring, a graduate of The University of Tampa, was a standout player for the Spartans in her career. As an outfielder, Dring registered 84 hits, 40 RBI, scored 27 runs, and recorded 11 doubles.
As a junior, Dring was named First-team all-SSC and Daktronics second-team all-South Region. In her final season she was a SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll recipient.
Dring graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management. During her time in Florida, Dring had experience working in the University Of Tampa Sports Information Department along with the University of South Florida Athletics Event Management department. Dring also dedicated time to the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Sports and Entertainment Management Society (S.E.M.S).
