Jonathan Feinstein was named head coach of the women's soccer program in May 2009 and promoted to Assistant Athletic Director of Student Services on September 19, 2016.

Feinstein has built the program into a regional contender as the winningest coach in history, with the 2015 team qualfying for the ECC Tournament for the third straight year and making the postseason for the third consecutive season. Under the tutelage of Feinstein, the Mavericks finished with five All-Conference selections and three All-Region honorees. 

The 2014 squad won the ECC Championship and advanced to the East Region Final in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history. The team set program records for wins (17), goals for (41) and against (13), while recording 13 shutouts. The strong season on the field led to several postseason honors for the Mavericks under the guidance of Feinstein, including six All-Conference selections highlighted by five All-Region players and a pair of All-Americans, while Feinstein became the first coach to earn ECC Coach of the Year in back-to-back years and took home ECAC top coach honors.

The success in 2014 comes after the 2013 squad reached the ECC Championship final and advancing to the NCAA Championship. The team finished with 13 wins and had four players earn All-Conference and All-Region honors, with Abby Zielinski becoming the first All-American in program history, as Feinstein was named the ECC Coach of the Year.

Feinstein's players have racked up numerous weekly honors, and he saw his first postseason award in 2012, two years after another historical season for the program in 2010, as the team won a record seven games while allowing a record 29 goals. 

He is currently for the technical director for the New York Surf Soccer Club, one of the elite soccer programs in the tri-state area. His duties as technical director he oversees all operations of New York Surf, while also managing the entire coaching staff. Feinstein is a regional staff coach for the Region 1 Olympic Development Program.

Prior to arriving at Mercy, he was the first assistant men's soccer coach at Division I Saint Peter's College from 2004-05, where he helped mentor three National Soccer Coaches Association of America (to) Regional All-Americans. Feinstein recruited many of the players who received a bid into the NCAA Division I Tournament in 2006.  Before his tenure with the Peacocks, Feinstein was the first-ever men's soccer graduate assistant coach at his alma mater, Manhattanville College, from 2003-04, after a standout career in which he earned a pair of All-Conference honors. He also served there as the interim head coach in 2003, and helped lead the Valiants to a pair of Skyline Conference Tournament appearances. 

Feinstein is a 2003 graduate of Manhattanville with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. He then went on to receive his Master of Arts degree in liberal arts from Manhattanville in 2004 and holds a United States Soccer Federation National "A" Coaching License, as well as an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.

Feinstein currently resides in Pelham, N.Y.
