DOBBS FERRY, NY - The Mercy College Department of Athletics is accepting nominations for its third Hall of Fame class, which will be inducted in the Fall of 2009.
The Mercy College Athletics Hall of Fame was established to honor the program's best student-athletes, teams, staff, and friends, and to recognize the College's rich athletics tradition and history.
To be considered, nominees must meet the following criteria:
- An individual athlete must have competed two full seasons in one sport or one full season in two or more sports, have attended Mercy College a minimum of two years, and graduated. The athlete will not be considered until five years after his/her class graduates.
- A coach or athletics administrator must have served at Mercy College for at least five years and have retired (or left the college) prior to being selected.
- An outstanding team may also be considered for induction after a minimum of five years since that season has been completed.
- The nominee must have departed Mercy College in good standing, and the record of the nominee must be so outstanding that there is no question as to qualifying for the Hall of Fame.
